MPeach is an exhilarating chromatic journey of vision and sound. The project is a multimedia powerhouse production of Mariana Martin Capriles, a Brooklyn-based Venezuelan artist who is growing her reputation simultaneously as a vocalist, songwriter, video artist, and designer. She layers these varied disciplines on top of a diverse spring of cultural influences, creating multimedia experiences that carry folk cultures through space and time on a wave of digital pop. The first leg of her multi-disciplined media project is the soundtrack, her debut album Malania. Sonically, the album is a representation of Mariana’s overall aesthetic through sonic crosspollination of influences from Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, and Europe. High energy dance beats meet low-end bass, and then flirt with rhythms rooted in traditions from her native Venezuela.
