The Barrioteca Files: Notch

Former member of Washington D.C.’s Born Jamericans, as well as one of Reggaeton’s early cross-over stars, Notch has been bridging the boundaries between dancehall and reggaeton for years. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and Patois, a result of both his parentage and experience growing up between Connecticut, Washington D.C., and Bermuda. He brings his Jamaican and Latino roots together with his classic sonero/singjay style, and we can’t help but sing along whenever we drop his big hits like Que te pica, Ay Que Bueno, and Nuttin No Go So.
